Distribution of Tritium in Wine

Abstract:

The amount of cosmic-ray-produced tritium has been detected in several natural waterways in the northern hemisphere, including the Mississippi Valley and the Chicago region. Amounts ranging from 0.5 to 67 tritium atoms per 1018 hydrogen atoms have been discovered. This correlates to the transport of tritium into the seas through oceanic rain and snow, as well as rivers bringing continental water. We conducted test to find the amount of tritium in red and white wine.
